Our journey in the world of low budget movies and productions company continues. Today, we present another exclusive interview with actress, producer and director Destiny Soria.
Welcome on BmovieFilms, Destiny. Do you mind introducing yourself to our readers?
Hello, my name is Destiny Soria, I’m an award winning Actress, director, and owner of Lady Destiny Productions LLC, I have been acting for 16 years, and in 2016, I made my first film as a filmmaker. I have won awards for the trailer, script, and poster. I am an ADHD- and autistic-artist with many credits under MY name. I haVE done some short films that have been released on Tubi, called VHS Violence Bootlegged, Hallowflix, and Kil, which landed me two distribution deals with ShadowReel and Cineshort, which is out this March 2026. No Promised Land won me my first actress award, which is also streaming on Tubi! My second film, Blood from Snow, will start production next year, 2027. My first poetry book was released on Amazon and Barnes and Nobles called “Beautiful Tragedy of Destiny, this Feral Heart”.
Can you tell us how you started your career?
I was watching the twilight with Robert Pattinson in it and wanted to be just like him that I started finding acting classes to train and get into volunteer gigs to be an actress. I loved to act and it made me really happy and passionate about acting.

You created Lady Destiny Productions. What is the biggest challenge for a small production company?
Trying to raise money for a film and working to just make a movie come alive. I do appreciate those crowdfunders for helping me out on Christmas slasher, but it did take a toll on me and was so chaotic and so many unprofessional people coming on board it made it hard to trust and believe in those people that wanted to help, and also, they don’t know how films are made, it takes a long time to make one, and it was a lot of stress to get everything out, especially when you found out that a company wanted to take a logo that wasn’t theirs in the first place and many others trying to fraud and scam you. So I had to stop making the merch for the perks. I had to take a break and make another design while I was working on finishing the movie myself, by editing it myself and doing effects for it. so, I can actually finish the movie first and release it out to the world to see. Then, give everybody new merch and perks.

An upcoming project of yours is “Christmas Slasher”. Can you share details about this movie?
As the holiday season descends on the small town of Vixen, Minnesota, a murderous zombie reindeer known as Slasher unleashes a brutal killing spree. Townsfolk are slaughtered one by one—so viciously that even the hunters become the hunted.
Ten years later, the story follows Alita and her closest friends as they travel south for Christmas break. Hoping for a nostalgic getaway, the college students retreat to the woods and an old childhood hangout, planning a weekend of hunting, drinking, games, and tangled love triangles. What they don’t realize is that this trip may be their last. As the group settles in, things quickly spiral out of control—and the horrors of Vixen are far from buried.

Christmas Slashers is one of the last project starring the late Nicholas Brendon from “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”. Can you share some memories about him?
I love Nicky! In Buffy, he was my mom’s and my favorite character. I told one day I’ll hire him in my film. He also has disabilities like me. He was funny and so kind to everyone. I won a funk pop of him from Buffy from my poster winning the best poster in shockfest film festival for Christmas Slasher and It was like it was meant for me, the prize box had him included in the prize! I asked him if he can sign it and told him about it. It was meant to be. He even protected me and stood up for me when the four individuals try to fraud me over sage vouchers.
What has been your favorite project and why?
Working with simply rosy productions on Grey Forest, Inferno feature film, I was the lead in it and it was super fun and I was really proud of myself to take on this challenge role of a evil witch
They took good care of me and made sure noone was being mean to me because I am autistic person.

What do you think can make a role challenging?
The main challenges of being an actress, producer, and director of your own movie? Finding actual professional people to work with. I had horrible time on my set to find out 4 individuals were frauds and felonies. They tried to fraud me, to steal sag vouchers, and abuse me that I almost quit directing and acting.
I was trying to work around that horrible nightmare and to focus on finishing the film while I act in it was really hard. Even directing others when all that was happening was challenging that I almost quit, but I had a learning experience and it told me a lot about making a film. I kept going and won through all that heartache, I will never give up on my passion of acting and directing.
You are very involved in your projects. What does the word “creativity” mean to you?
Creativity means a lot to me, I like to think outside the box and imagination is my favorite day dream of endless ideas and my dreams give me great new original stories to tell and show.
I love to read books and mythology stories., so always want to have some kinda idea from that and twist them for a newer version
Next projects? I have seen you are involved in a tv series titled Detective Starke. Can you tell us about it in detail?
I voice couple of characters in the series, its from a book and it super fun to do voiceovers for animation cartoons. I’m working couple films in texas soon and working on a ufo documentary movie and a zombie movie this year.
