She will soon star in the upcoming installment of the Witchcraft horror franchise. In this interview, Ginger opens up about herself, her choice to pursue acting, and her upcoming projects.
Welcome on Bmoviefilms do you mind introducing yourself to our readers?
Hello, I am Ginger Wolfe. I was born in a small town called Mexico Missouri. I am an aspiring actress, model, dancer, author, and part time magician. I am what some people would call a showoff. And I am so honored to have been asked to do this interview for Bmoviefilms.
When did you decide to pursue an acting career? What first sparked your desire to pursue acting?
I have always wanted to do some acting. But it was not so much as what, or when, but who encouraged me to pursue acting. His name is Dennis Garrett. He had a bit role in a short film and asked me to do the role. I told him that I had no real experience with acting before. He said not to worry about it. The director will tell you exactly what to do.
What skills from your modeling career have helped you most in front of the camera?
Modeling, much like acting, is a vision. So the photographer already knows what he wants to see and so does the director. So the two mix very well. They give me instructions or poses and I do as they ask. In both cases they know the look that they want before anything ever gets started. So I just listen and do as I am asked.
What’s the biggest misconception people have about models and dancers entering the acting world?
I believe the biggest misconception is that we are difficult to work with. As a model I want the best photos to come out. As a dancer, I want the person who is visiting the club to return. Both of those things require that I work on making myself as easy as possible to work with. This means being able to adapt, and see what I can do to make the process as smooth as possible.
You are in the cast of the upcoming movie: Witchcraft Lantern of Light How are you involved with the project?
In Witchcraft Lantern of Light I play a character named Rose Blackthorn. And if you liked the Blair Witch Project, you’re going to love Witchcraft Lantern of Light.
What was your immediate reaction when you found out that you had landed this role?
I was at first doubtful. A film that’s going to theaters wanted me? Then as I spoke with Carissa Pierson and she explained the role to me. I couldn’t help but to get more and more excited. By the end of the phone call I couldn’t sit still. In some was I still can’t.
Without any spoilers, how would you describe your character in three words?
Ambitious, seductive, and charming.
Have you always been a fan of horror movies, or is acting in one a completely new experience for you?
I have always been a fan of horror movies. However, actually acting in one is way more fun. Getting to see the way a film gets made. Seeing all the little things it takes to make a scene look like the directors imagining. My first time it was overwhelming. But it’s what I would like to call nervous excitement.
One of your earliest projects was “Werewolf Bloodtrap”. Could you share some details about this movie and your experience working with director John Orrichio?
John Orrichio is a visionary who has an interesting way of filming. In this movie, I am basically werewolf meat. I love dying in horror movies. That’s the best part. So I guess the spoiler here is that in this movie you know I am going to die.
Is there any specific genre or dream role you hope to tackle next?
I don’t have a dream role. I would love to get a role in a psychological thriller. I think those roles are very challenging. The challenge is one I would enjoy. But I also hope to do a comedy and a drama one day. The only way to get better at something is to expand on it by getting out of your comfort zone. And if I want to get better at horror movies, I must learn different ways to portray my characters better.
Where do you see your career evolving over the next five years?
I believe that I will still be making movies. I know for a fact that I will still stay where my heart is. (In horror films.) But I also think that I may put my toes in other areas of acting as well.
Beyond your work as an actress, dancer, and model is there something else you want to share with our readers?
I am a part-time magician. But if there is something that I would say that I really want readers to know it is this. As a feature dancer, who has worked in tons of clubs, in more states than I care to count. My dream is to bring the horror con to the strip club. I want to be the actress that has people bragging that they not only got a signature from me but they also got a lap dance. And that’s something that you can’t get at a horror convention.
Next projects?
I have five projects that are coming up soon. 1. Carbondalien: Fire in the pond. In this movie I play a student. Can’t really disclose more than that. 2. I am currently filming in Drive-in Movie Massacre. I am loving my role in this movie. 3. Final Act. In this movie I am a bar patron with love for the ladies. It’s in post production. 4. The last is my latest movie Die Die Delta Pi 2: The Burnt One. In this movie I play Emma who is killed in a very unique way. Plus in that movie you get to see all of the T & A your heart desires. Yes I have a nude scene. 5. In September I will be on an episode of “Up All Night with Rhonda Shears. The episode is called Only Fangs. So I will let your minds run wild on what the episode is about. Rhonda Shears is a beautiful and talented scream queen, and I am honored to have been in this episode.
